Attention homeowners:
Are You Interested in Remodeling Your Current Home or Building a Brand New Home but Don't Know Where to Start?
Dear homeowner,
- What is the smartest way to choose a home remodeler?
- How do you choose one home building company over all the others?
- Why should you buy a brand new home vs. a used home?
If you'd like answers to the above questions, you've come to the right place. Welcome to the Today's Home Designed for Life Housing Consortium...
We are a group of home builders, remodelers and home supplier companies breaking the mold of "business as usual" in the housing industry.

For years the housing industry has offered consumers pretty much the same thing...
...you see our industry has been dominated by engineers and products. Engineers (normally men) design products. Contractors, typically men, build homes around these products.
That's why most new homes and remodeling projects are promoted and sold using products and features (wood floors, Maytag appliances, fireplace, etc.).
Why?
Because according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, over 90% of home building and remodeling companies are owned by men.
Now this isn't much of a problem until you understand...
- Women initiate 80% of all home-improvement purchase decisions...(Forbes, 2003)
- Women directly purchase or have controlling influence in the purchase of 91% of all new homes. (Smith-Dahmer Associates, NAHB IBS)
So herein lays our industry's challenge...
Over 90% of the companies are owned and run by men, even though women make
80 - 90% of the buying decisions!
We knew contractors were "missing the boat" when designing and marketing homes to women so we decided to do something about it. We knew we couldn't do things the way we had always done them because consumers, like you, weren't getting what you needed from our industry.
What we did-
We looked at how we were Designing homes and changed our philosophy of design from products and features to Lifestyle- specifically...how you want to live in your home.

Next, we sought out products and features for our customers that support the type of modern lifestyle they live.
Finally, we added shopping, designing, selection and building experiences that are on par with Nordstrom's.
We realized that our customers, you, are truly our "product"- not the homes we are building or the materials we use to build them.
If this sounds different to you it is...
We thank you for visiting our website and appreciate the consideration for building or remodeling your home!
